The ordinary origami models are representational, symmetrical, and reproducible.
Minimal folding is to capture the shape of the object in a few folds, instead of dozens.
After all, crumpling is making many creases at a time. Therefore, crumpling is folding.
Dry Tension Folding is the technique of making curved surface using the tension of the paper.
If you fold in exclusive-OR fashion, i.e. a mountain between a valley and a mountain, a valley between a mountain and a mountain, you get side-pleats.
